Biography

Ilse Tesillo is a visual artist whose pictorial work explores the relationship between nature, symbol, and emotional experience.

Her practice is based on a contemplative process, where painting becomes a space for reflection rather than narration. Through a restrained visual language, her works invite prolonged observation and a silent presence.

Influenced by the landscapes, flora and fauna of Baja California Sur, her work addresses themes of memory, territory and the subtle dialogue between the human and the natural world.

Each piece is conceived as a unique work, developed slowly and intentionally. Instead of producing in series, Tesillo focuses on creating paintings that contain symbolic depth and a timeless resonance.
